Review
In the early 14th century, through a series of marriages and blood lines, Edward III of England became the heir to the throne of France. The French were revolted at the idea of having an English king as thier king and set up thier own successor with some fancy paper-work here and there. Now Edward III was most displeased with this development. But he did manage to exchange this rightful title for some land that made wine and other fine french products called Gascony.

In 1337, war was declared when the French king Phililp decided to say that Gascony was his. Edward then reinstated his claim to be the king of France, and all hell broke loose. Well as fast as hell could break loose in 1337. The English took a good lead in the war siezing towns and French lands for thier own, maintaining and advantage through highly trained longbowmen. Archery, (like killing French people) had become a national pastime in England. When they could do both at the same time, there wasn't a man in England who didn't jump on the opportunity.

Since both nations take thier sweet time in accomplishing anything, the war went on and off periodically for over one hundred years until 1453. At this point the English had all been driven from what is modern day France. The most cunning and brilliant of the English captains, Talbot, made one final attempt. He invaded in Gascony and attempted to claim the land for the English crown in the battle at Castillon. John Talbot led a frontal attack on the French positions, but his out-dated tactics that had won him so many battles before were crushed by superior numbers and fancy devices called cannons.

In this historic reenactment, Frech commander NLJ drives the English Commander, Drakken, from French lands once and for all, and claims Gascony for the crown king of France. Drakken quickly discovers that he is rusty, and his tactics are out-dated and slow, and he is driven from the Gasplant plain by superior numbers and fancy devices called Flashkers.

Go read about the Hundred years war, its way more interesting than this game.
