Overview
Another The Cold Place game coming at you. Same day, same map, same skill match up.
Starting positions are swe_peppe top left and XpLay3r top right. peppe takes the ultimate
risk and goes air while XpLay3r conservatively goes vehicle. Peppe lays down an excellent initial run with
his first bomber and manages to wipe out XpLay3r's entire starting resources. Knowing that peppe is air, he
sends his flash over to do some damage. Unfortunately, he did not target the sole mex he was going after and didn't have
+shootall plugged in yet and manages only to take out one MT. However, XpLay3r pumped out some early cons and is
still commanding his territory and not hurting on resources despite another good bomber run from peppe. Peppe is
now peeping around the exterior of XpLay3r's base for easy targets, but XpLay3r has a sam nearby to enlist in
his defense. This continues and keeps XpLay3r's fast growing resources within range of Peppe's
Very soon the game shifts to a groundwar and XpLay3r is paying a very intimate visit to Peppe's base. There
is a nice wreck pile growing and he is keeping peppe busy while moving cons in some MTs and working on a gaurdian just north
and within range of putting peppe in a serious dilemma. All the while there are mini-struggles on the south shore with
cons trying to control, push, and bully. YEA! XpLay3r builds a Geo! XpLay3r is struggling to keep his gaurdian
a secret and you are starting to realize his little plan is not a chance decision. All the while, he is growing quite nicely.
In fact, you begin to become concerned for peppe.
Both get a gaurd up in peppe's base and they are just shy of being able to do heavy damage to each other. XpLay3r
decides to begin another one closer and is busted, this repeats several times, but peppe is building up MTs along the side and
manages to destroy the original gaurdian as well. It is a very tense several minutes because there is nothing like having a gaurdian
creep war right inside your own base at such an early point in the game.
Anyway, I think you see the picture of the type of battle that is going on here. There is no possible way I could do
this game the justice it deserves. This is certainly not a hype review and both of these players are top notch, as you will
see the types of situations they will be faced with and forced to work out of. This is certainly one of the best games I have watched
and it definitely was a pleasure to review. The scores and ratings are about as accurate as I can possible gauge them.
In my eyes, you are both the winner. What a great game!
