This was apparently sent in because one player wanted some opinions on the lag factor.

"watch tad" he says at the end. And I did.

This is a mirror game on Pearl Harbour. Both sides, Tip north and Crater south, do exactly the same strat. It's so similar it's scary. When they finally clash with skeets, they have the same amount.

Almost. Just to be really, really fair and careful I counted them.

When Crater throws the big attack he's got 33 skeets on the map, Tip has 29. However, the battle is up north meaning that Crater's reinforcements take time getting there. So the actual fight is probably pretty much 30 vs 30.

Soon Crater complains that Tip's skeets arn't dying. At this point, they are at 16 vs. 16.

Soon after that, Crater quits (at this point, he's got maybe 10 skeets against 15 from Tip) and is pissed off.

I watched it again and checked Tip's health bars and yes, they are a bit jumpy. However, not more or less then in most games. It's a bit of lag, but nothing too much.

Final verdict: If this hadn't been a game with identical strats, same amount of units and just one big battle, no one would have noticed. Tip getting the upper hand in the skeet fight can be cause the fight was closer to his base, minor details in how the skeets moved or the slight lag factor involved.

I can't support that lag won this. A game like this will be determined by small details anyway.
