Now i love this map, i think it rocks, and is totally underplayed. Also this game has two very good players starring so i expected a good battle.

Infact i got a great, great battle, swaying back and forth, all the time, so you never know who is going to win! Excellent!

Tolnep, starts veh first, and sends flashes out in all directions, followed by cons, to close islands. This is followed quickly by sea, and mass cons.

Saint does the same, but goes all cons, before reclaiming and going air. I thought this was the better plan. Air provides you with muchneeded mobility on this map, and air cons will replace veh cons in their usefulness later. Not only that, but Saint made a few shadows, and these worked very well on the small islands. Saint puts Tolnep back well with this, but......

....Tolnep, has been grafting hard in the sea, and his sea economy quickly keeps him within touch of Saint's. Saint by now, had 5-6 islands and a sea plant. He goes all cons, and starts his economy going. Personally i liked Saints method of building his base. He spread it out, across the entire bottom half of the map, using tidals placed apart rather than 'hooked'. This is useful for slowing down an enemy attack fleet, if they arrive.

After some searcher raiding, Tolnep appears to be well behind, but, starts attacking. What is wonderful to watch, is the momentum gained in Tolnep's attack. For a large part of this game, Saint is defending against a constant stream of Tolnep's forces, often getting close to Saints main base. So many units clashed in the centre, that the blue sea becomes blacker than a coal-mine at night.

Both players have adv sea, Tolnep choosing fibbers and subs, which wreak havoc in Saints base, but due to the spread out nature, dont cause the amount of damage they could have. Tolnep also chooses pels, guarding them out with his comm which i personally would not use on this map. Not only this Tolnep has hawks building, but doesnt guard the adv air plants with many farks, meaning he doesnt get a truly effective number.

Saint, in desperation at some points, uses Rapiers to defend his base with his ships, and it works. He stores them up for the rest of the game, eventually amassing a very large number.

Tolnep, though forcing Saint of the defensive for a large part of this game, doesn't really effect Saint that much. His bombers and fibbed subs seemed to do more damage.

Now, i have given some clues away to how this game finished, but i won't give them away. If you know your stuff you will look at the words 'Large swarms of rapiers' and 'comm guarding out pels' with a smile. But, did Saint get to use them? Or was he eventually overcome?

A superb game, full of entertainment, and a great showcase for how much fun this game can be. There were mistakes my both sides. (Saint had a number of sea plants idle, Tolnep built his base to compact), but overall, it doesn't matter. My only regret was Saint didn't get to use his 4 Warlords on the back of Tolnep's base.

Both you guys, great game, and you guys out there, download it!!!! :O
