Good duel on Comet, between 2 guys having death in their name (mortem meaning death or something approaching in latin), allowing me to easily find a pitiful pun for the title. Thanks a lot guys, reviewing isnt as easy as it seems ;). This game features once again a builder vs an UCer.
Game Summary
Mortem starts top, and goes for the long build queue, as is Black_death. Then the difference appears immediately between the 2 gameplay styles, as Mortem goes convehs while Death takes the time to build a few flashes before. He is quite good at raiding and so does a lot of damage in Mortem's base, and kills many convehs. But mortem has more cons than he can kill, and thus his expansion is only slowed down, not stopped. Also, he has the wrecks... yes sir. Death continues to pressure, as usual it means his own expansion is slow, with many idle units, but he builds some defenses in key spots to stop the ennemy raids. Mortem resists very well, and the raiding part of the game comes to an end, as he has now a lot of defense in the middle and launches mass attacks on Death, who is now struggling to get a good economy going. Final Words
A duel of styles as we see often, very interesting as both players skills are close to each other. I wish Mortem had focused on covering his dead mexxes and Death had thought about reclaiming wrecks earlier. But except from those 2 big mistakes, it was a good game. Well done guys.
