Review
Back in the hot seat as a reviewer, I decided to pick the first demo I could find that:
a) Wasnīt GoW or GPP
b) Had at least one skilled player

Red Planet, four players from the expert chategory? Worth a shot.

And what a game it was! Red Planet is one of those maps that completely lacks a default strategy. Rescources are hard to find and harder to control, energy is always an issue and the gravity isnīt low enough for one Guardian to end the game.

X_Ocine decides to go Core and just con units. Now, I usually donīt like that move, itīs a bit too much "Hey, look at me! All con, All con!" But Ocine actually plays an aggressive style with his cons, placing guardians and MTs in spots where they attack rather then defend. But building skill and unit control isnīt everything, as the game will show.

Silvertool is perhaps the most interesting player to watch. His start downright blows. He gets stuck very early. Lacking expansion he tries to move out his Commander for a risky expansion plan. Bad move, and he gets trapped when Beanx (nicely played there Bean) use radar targetting Slashers to keep Silvertool pinned against the edge of the map. Stuck with a con, some DTs and a very troubled Commander, Silvertool does the best he can to fend of the incoming slashers. Micro- vs macromanagement on a very limited space.

Lots of topnotch unit control and smart moves in the early stages of the game. Later it becomes more a Guardian battle. But thanks to all players being aggressive, it never gets boring and eventually the first Commander goes down. However, it doesnīt end there. Whoīll be the last Commander standing? D/L to find out, and be sure to watch closely towards the end or you might miss it.
