Tiptushi plays yet another excellent game here on Johns Island. He's beginning to remind me a little bit of Gnug315 and other oldschool players. He tends to sit back a bit, concentrate on his economy and tech up early. Kind of goes against the conventional rule that you have to be aggressive to keep in control.
Dune expends alot of resources early trying to dominate the skys and the middle isle. He does an admirable job but Tiptushi sticks to the housekeeping and is outproducing Dune 2:1 by the middle of the game. From there everything goes as you would expect. I'd be interested to see a rematch though. Dune was obviously a little off form on the day (he says "I can hardly keep my eyes open" towards the end) and hadn't had as much experience with the map as Tiptushi who'd obviously done his homework.
