Space tries the air first strat vs Rugga on this game on TCP. A fast bomber can seriously hurt a vehicle start, but it depends on two things. First of all, the element of suprise will increase the effect. Second, and this is more important, is to create a stall. On a map like TCP where fragile wind is pefered and there is no metal to reclaim, the vehicle player getting bombed won´t be able to get any samsons out further delaying his defense.
Space is unlucky or perhaps just not careful enough, his bomber doesn´t get enough mmexes or winds to hurt Rugga´s resources. Without the important stall, samsons and MTs are soon up and Space is forced to change strat. After that, it´s a long way to get back in the game.
Main reason to watch this game: Not your everyday map, and two different strats performed. Lesson learned: An air first strat can win the game early, or lose it. |
