Another Crip File from the Archives. Whooppee. The others have been good.
This one isn´t. Not as bad as my title, but barely worth the d/l.
Crip vs Eyedoll on the underplayed but really good 1v1 map The Cold Place.
Lets look at the map first shall we. Big one, about the size of Comet cather. But the big lake in the middle makes the battleground smaller. Usually, the main battle is fought on the northern shore between the players start positions. The south side of the lake is good for expansion and back door attacks. But whoever wins the battle between the bases is normally the winner, regardless of what´s happening at the other parts of the lake.
This game is no exception. The players have almost identical starts, Jeffies, early cons for expansion and later on raiding flashes. I was suprised to see how they used the whole map, every corner of it, during the first 5-10 minutes of the game.
Eventually Crip starts the heavy push towards Eyedoll´s base. MT creeping, Samsons and reclaiming cons. This is when the game becomes very predictable. Crips army moves slowly but steady towards Eyedoll and there´s nothing to stop it. Eyedoll is still raiding all over the map and has a little project going on down south but where´s the frontline? There is none and when Crip comes marching in it´s too late for Eyedoll to stop it.
Yeah I spolied the ending but there isn´t much to see after the 10 minute mark anyway. Good strategy by Crip, I´ll give him that. Score 6 for the early raiding action and some learning value. But nothing spectacular to se here. |
