100 isles is skeets, skeets, skeets, try to find the right moment to walk the commmander to the next island and then some more skeets.
The map is played the same way every time. And the winner is determined by small details like unit control, timing and resource management. But the skeets always rule the sea.
Ocine playes the map in a traditional way but DIABLO tries a new (yes, yes, I'm sure someone else has done it before) aproach to the map. He goes Kbot to Adv Kbot right away, with only 3 metal patches and some tidals. Risky strat but lets look at the math:
Factor 1: Pelicans beats Skeeters metalwise Factor 2: Kbot + Adv cost more then 2 shipyards Factor 3: Kbot + Adv + Pelican adds up to more build time then to shipyard + Skeets Factor 4: A Commander moves slower through water Factor 5: A pelican has wings, but still can't fly and should be called penguin Factor 6: There are not actually 100 islands on this map
The answer to this equation is, of course:
D-GUN!
Kbot strat or Ship strat - the D-gun is your friend on this map. Use it wisely like DIABLo and Ocine.
