This game came with a read me file. Too bad it landed at my desk.
"I post this game because i'm not an expert, only a noob trying to do his best to progress.
Be indulgent, this is my first tad that I post and I played it for honnor."
Lets break down and analyze this cry for help shall we?
"I post this game because i'm not an expert, only a noob trying to do his best to progress"
This is a BAD reason for sending in a game. In fact, not even a reason. A newbie asking for advice is one thing, but you didn't, did you? This is just a fuggin complicated beg for mercy. Lemme show you.
Three most common excuses in TA:
1. I'm rusty
2. I suck
3. I'm a newbie
All three mean that the player sure as hell don't suck, isn't a newbie, nor did the two weeks he spent exploring the world away from his computer, harm his TA skills. It's just a way of trying to convince your buddies on Zone that if you lose, you have an excuse, and if you win, it's a sign of your undisputable greatness. In short - you do suck, just not at TA.
Basic line, the "modest act" makes me reach for my best buddies Sarcasm and Predjudice, and aim at you.
"Be indulgent"
I think I answered this one already. Indulgence don't suit me. Not buying the act. If you really are new to TA, I might as well show how this cruel community works right away. I voulenteer, no problem, thank me later.
"this is my first tad that I post"
This one is legit. I buy this. In fact, if the text file was limited to just these eight words, this demo wouldn't have gotten special treatment.
"and I played it for honnor."
This has got to be the lamest, most far fetched cry for help in the history of TA demos. Honor? Like the rest, you play to win. If that makes you feel honorable, more power to you. Won't make you special tho. You played this game to WIN, and you KNOW you were close to doing so. That's why you sent this in. You almost beat the top dog. Add some newbiness and tada, you are the MAN! HOORAY! AWSOME JOB DUDE! NEWBIE NEARLY BEAT EKSPURT!
Transparent.
Game wasn't bad tho. Nice aggressive start, took big D by suprise. Big ass mistake you made was giving mr D a chance to regroup. It's all that fugger needs. If someone is stuck in a corner, only way to reach them is by long range weapons or air. Basic TA. And, those two attacks is also the only way they can get out. Should have seen it coming "newbie" (bet you HATE being called that).
