I dont like Gods of War. Its a tedious map, where absolutely every detail is essential to victory. How many winds did you build? How many cons did you build? Did you keep them moving all the time? Air first or vech first? Reclaim rocks or put up mexes? Every little thing counts. It makes it feel more like work than like play.
This is a Pheonix Worx IGW, and Woody is playing the role of the Core Commander. GoW has always been an Arm map, which is one of the reaons Ive never been too fond of it. Plus it was very overplayed. Experts would spend countless hours playing only this one map, and then uploading whatever brag games. It is one of the few TA maps that I feel comfortable saying that most everything has been figured out.
Ive never given a ten before, so for a game to get a 10 with me reviewing it, it would have to not be a GoW game. Or at least thats what Ive told myself. I think Im being generous with the rating, but this is TA entertainment at its finest. GoW was overplayed in its day, but nowadays GoW 1v1 games are significantly more rare than thier GoW2 3v3 cousins. I cant say watch and learn, but I can say watch and be entertained.
