Review |
Picture this:
I have the time for one more review, pick one randomly and what do I get?
A GD2 groudwar, staring my old friend SNAKE.
So, I start the game and place "A farwell to arms" next to the computer. You know, the bestseller by Hemingway. Foolproof plan. Half watching, half reading, my 40 minutes wouldnīt be completely wasted. Canīt be too careful when SNAKE is around can you?
To my suprise, SNAKE won. Not in TA silly (well, that too), I meant my attention. Thatīs right, the Groundwar most of us love to hate was starting to get interesting. But then of course you gotta consider that I expected this demo to be a substitute to sleeping pills.
SNAKE played to win, not to stall, boil and build for one hour until the less bored player got 5 Kroggys out and ended the misery (the last GW game I watched was just like that).
Creative groundwar. Sounds like a contradicion in terms, but not in this game. Building was poor, same with speed and intensity, but the use of Merls combined with a Guardian creep almost qualify as good UC.
And this game almost qualify as entertainment compared to Hemingway. |
