Another face off between ORCA and Anarky from CBL7.
Berikaren goes core and gets a bomber out at 2:10. He sneaks right past Beast's shipyard and bombs Anarky with free reign for three minutes. Helldog's advanced lab and land resources are both totally destroyed setting him back mounds of time. Beast is establishing sea and sends a skeet charge over at
Confused. They are quickly destroyed by his sams and MTs collection. Another blow to Anarky when Berikaren sends a couple more bombers over and there is still little air defense. Goodbye kbot lab and land resources again. Anarky manages to kill off the three bombers with a pair of skeets and a single MT, perhaps signaling that the air brigade is complete. This gives Anarky a needed break to get setup. But wait, Confused already has his Geo and sub construction is underway. Now comes the part we expect on this map, the water battle. So, will Confused get his sub out early enough to do damage and finish them off or will Beast be waiting for it and reclaim the metal and turn this game around?
One of the things I like about Beta Tropics is that wind is a little stronger than it's affiliate map, Coast to Coast, and the geothermal patch gives it more possiblities for middle game strategies.
On this type of map today, you would expect at least one air from each side to balance out the damages. Just think of the damage that could have resulted from a single crusader from the Anarky side.
I have given this game all sevens for I cannot properly rate a game of this vintage. I think that seven is a good overall decent score and also signifies luck.
