The Chameleon, known for its ability to adapt to its evironment and blend in. using it to its advantage. A very good model to set yourself when playing maps you arnt familiar with. Venom and Novice do a great job at being Chameleons here tho as neither of them had ever set foot on the arid pastures of the Grand Canyon before Get the map here (or go to the third party maps section of Tagamers and get it there).
One thing youll notice about Grand Canyon is that there is absolutly no metal on the floor, it can only be found on every hill (there are ALOT of hills). Nov i think only reall notices this after hes comitted himself to a fast veh lab, but sticks to it as he can get con vehs up some of the hills. Venom on the otherhand had gone for a more resource based build order (BO) so he could see that a late air lab would do wonders. Nov makes many cons and spreads out fast on the map covering pretty much half of it very quickly but now venom had a few gaurded con airs spreading himself out and now has his bombers ready to hit nov. he does very well here just when nov isnt expecting it he takes down over half of his mex and forces nov to set up some aa all around his expansion. This move goes on for a while and brings it back into Venoms favour as he saves up metal and gets some veh labs up.
The flash rushing stars and the game gets laggy (tsssk venom, get cable :D) but you will see some wonderful building choices by novice and a wonderful con air repairing comm while he takes on his weight in flash takes all at once. nice move ;). you will see some nice attacking by venom with his wonderful warping flash. Venom gets the upperhand with adv setting up many fusions and mmm's but nov goes for a quick bb.
does this bring Nov back ontop of the game making him head Chameleon? or will it seal his fate as just a Chameleon wannabe....
(ps. i is hungover and cant be assed to re read the review for mistakes so just live with it ;)) (p.p.s theres extra marks for such an awesome map choice :D)
