Review

2 years old game on JP, featuring 2 great players. Really weird game and you have to find the appropriate state of mind to watch it, i.e. try to forget their numerous mistakes :), cos what is obvious now was either new or even not yet discovered by then.

Game Summary

First thing, they start at 0k/0k. It means a slow start, and even if they choose different strats to begin, they remain surprisingly even. So they both pass that test successfully, and now the real game can begin. Cytree is core and went straight to sea, while Canuck is arm and goes kbot first, then sea. Both comm walk on the other side, canuck going bot there again and cytree going bot too. Now you clearly see that both players dont have any defenses in some key spots of their base, and it means each attack will hurt a LOT. And they do. This game is clearly axed on the importance of picking the good specific unit to attack the other and use the mistakes he made. Cytree's sea economy is really strong, but Canuck has the pels, and they didnt know at that time how powerful cruisers could be against those pels, so it means both players are still even. The battle goes on, as usual with great players, they never believe they really hurt the other, so they dont really take advantage of their attack. Frustrating for the watcher, but at least it keeps the game interesting.

Final Words

Overall, a fine game, lacking the UC we have now, but still entertaining enough to be worth the download. Game was difficult to rate, and i wont even try to rate the players.
